Kew the Music 2013
The Kew the Music Festival takes place from the 9th to the 14th of July in London’s iconic Kew Gardens. What better setting could there be for a fabulous summer festival of music? This is billed as being the number one ‘picnic concert’ in the city this year, so if you only make it to one music festival this summer, make it this one. The likes of Paul Weller, the Modfather himself will be taking centre stage along with other headline acts like Blondie, Leona Lewis and the Human League. Be prepared for foot tapping boogie-woogie from Jules Holland as well as modern folk from Bellowhead.
Kew the Music really is the place to be this summer. Whatever your musical tastes this is an experience not to be missed. Forget the festivals when wellington boots are compulsory in order to wade through a mud fest, and camping out in adverse weather. Grab a picnic blanket, pack a hamper and remember to pack a bottle of something crisp and chilled, then sit back, relax and Kew the Music!
Headline Acts
The grounds that form the impressive arena of Kew Gardens will be rocking out to the sound of 80’s icon Blondie and boogieing on down with Jules Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. The Human League bring their distinctive electronic sound to Kew this summer and The Modfather is guaranteed to pull in the crowds. Leona Lewis too is set to bring the house down with her special guests Soul II Soul, and the group dubbed the ‘greatest live band in Britain’, namely Bellowhead will be bringing their own brand of modern folk to the proceedings along with their special guest Billy Bragg. All in all this looks set to be a wonderful event of good music, good food and good fun.
